Job Summary:
Park Hotel Kenmare is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Reservations & Events Manager. This role is integral in managing reservations operations, optimising room revenue and ensuring a seamless booking experience in alignment with the hotel’s luxury brand standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in high-end hospitality properties, exceptional organisational skills and a passion for delivering unparalleled customer service.
Responsibilities:
* Oversee and manage the reservations department to ensure seamless and efficient booking processes.
* Maintain the highest level of guest customer service and care, ensuring all reservations inquiries (phone, email, online) are handled professionally and efficiently.
* Implement and oversee revenue optimisation strategies in collaboration with the Sales team.
* Ensure accurate room inventory management and coordinate with the Sales and Front Office teams to maximise occupancy and revenue.
* Train, mentor and lead the reservations team to uphold the hotel's standards of excellence.
* Monitor and analyse reservations data to identify trends, forecasting demand, adjusting pricing strategies accordingly.
* Maintain knowledge of hotel services, amenities and promotions to effectively upsell and cross-sell.
* Ensure compliance with hotel policies and industry standards, maintaining accuracy in all reservations-related transactions.
* Foster relationships with VIP guests, travel agencies and corporate clients to enhance customer loyalty and repeat business.
* Collaborate with the Director of Sales to implement promotional strategies for various booking channels.
* Address and resolve any guest concerns related to reservations in a timely and professional manner.
* Plan, coordinate and execute luxury events including corporate meetings, weddings, galas and private functions.
* Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring their event requirements are met to the highest standards.
* Work closely with the food & beverage and operations teams to deliver flawless event execution.
* Develop event packages and pricing structures to enhance revenue and customer satisfaction.
* Oversee event logistics, including venue setup, audio-visual arrangements, catering and guest accommodations.
* Maintain strong relationships with vendors, suppliers and external partners to ensure high-quality service delivery.

Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business, or a related field preferred but not essential.
* Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a luxury hotel reservations or front office environment.
* Strong knowledge of hotel property management systems (e.g., Opera, Hotsoft, Guestline, or a similar PMS and CRS).
* Proven track record of revenue management, pricing strategies and yield management.
* Excellent communication, leadership and interpersonal skills.
* Detail-oriented with strong organisational and analytical abilities.
* Ability to work under pressure while maintaining a high level of professionalism.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
