Role Overview
We are seeking an Audit Manager to join our Balbriggan team. Our Audit teams are based in both offices and you will assigned to one but may be required to work from the other at least once a week for meetings or to meet with Junior team members.This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is looking to cut down their commute and progress their career in a growing and ambitious firm.

The Role
As an Audit Manager within the Firm your role will encompass a broad range of duties as are appropriate to thatrole as determined by the Firm, which will without prejudice to the generality of the foregoing shall include:-
To manage a portfolio of audit and accounts engagements, ensuring all engagements are completed in line with professional standards, in accordance with deadlines and agreed timeframes.
To oversee and review statutory financial statements, accounts files for sole traders, partnerships and limitedcompanies.
To review corporation tax returns prepared by junior staff and ensure filings are made in accordance withdeadlines.
To supervise junior staff and provide assistance regarding technical queries and professional development,including conducting periodic appraisals.
To liaise with clients throughout the year and ensure excellent client service is provided at all times.
To liaise with all other departments ensuring all potential client needs are identified and serviced accordingly.
To manage the profitable recoverability of work in progress, and ensure monthly agreed targets for billablework is achieved.
To maintain an advanced level of technical knowledge through appropriate reading and course attendance,and to fulfil the Institute’s CPD requirements.
To assist in proposals for new work, and to take part in formal presentations to prospective clients.
To attend staff meetings and training as required.
To assist with ad hoc business consultancy.
To carry out any other duties as are within the scope and purpose of the job, the title of the role and itsgrading, as requested by the director.
To uphold the firm's code of ethics and business conduct.
About You
Professional qualification such as ACCA, ACA, CPA or equivalent
At least 3 years PQE working in a fast paced audit department or practice
Proven ability to manage and lead teams
You will have strong technical knowledge, e.g., UK GAAP, FRS102, IFRS and ISA’s
A team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
Confidence in dealing with people and strong client-facing skills;
Self driven with an ability to implement and drive improvements and changes within the practice;
Self-starter with the ability to use initiative and to prioritise with excellent time management skills;
Good attention to detail.
