An exciting opportunity for a Chemical Production Operator to join Ortec Inc. in their brand new facility in Newcastle West, Limerick. This role will be based on a shift, and it's a permanent role. The Chemical Production Operator is responsible for overseeing all elements of personal safety, product quality, and production efficiency in manufacturing chemical blends/products according to customer specifications and timelines.
Role Responsibilities:
* Operate production equipment, monitoring process conditions, performance metrics, and control systems to make decisions that ensure desired production rates and conditions.
* Conduct batch manufacturing, including weighing and charging raw materials into vessels and tanks, and transferring products to storage tanks or containers.
* Complete raw material verification to ensure only approved and correct materials are used.
* Adhere to company policies, procedures, standards, and practices for safe and reliable operations; receive training on relevant cGMP (current Good Manufacturing Practice) requirements and apply cGMP principles in all tasks.
* Demonstrate excellent GDP (Good Documentation Practice) to maintain high standards.
* Work within a Clean Room environment.
* Train other employees on procedures as needed, with supervisor approval.
* Read, record, and interpret data from instruments, reactors, pumps, etc., making necessary adjustments to ensure safe and efficient operations.
* Understand and control key process variables affecting product quality and consistency; troubleshoot issues as needed.
* Safely operate forklifts, lifts, and hand trucks.
* Provide technical support and assistance to chemists and engineers.
* Accurately document data on batch records, graphs, and charts.
* Assist with inventory management to maintain material supplies.
* Support new chemical engineering processes or production techniques as required.
* Comply with all company and OSHA safety standards for work areas.
* Adhere to all applicable FDA and Quality standards.
Role Requirements:
* Minimum – Leaving Cert or equivalent.
* Forklift experience is preferred.
* Previous experience in a GMP environment is essential.
