Among Abbott Diabetes Care leading brands are theFreeStylePrecision,FreeStyleLite andFreeStyleLibre system.Main Purpose of the Role?The Operational Excellence Engineer is responsible for creating and leading the advancement of Operational Excellence principles and practices across the site through internal & external collaborations, delivering high-impact, sustainable business results.
Main Responsibilities Responsible for maintaining & improving the site's Operational Excellence initiatives including but not limited to the following: Manufacturing Operating System (MOS), 6S Program, and Shingo methodology.
Promote and foster a culture of continuous improvement across the site.
Act as a change-agent implementing lean initiatives that are aligned with business strategies.
Manage departmental and site specific KPI's and reporting, including maintaining site visual boards.
Support site teams to build strong Continuous Improvement and Problem-solving capabilities including through education and training.Lead problem-solving activities across the site, utilising various improvement tools and facilitating training activities.
Continue developingsite awareness and engagement of Operational Excellence principles and methodologies through effective engagementand communication.Teach and coach on a variety of Lean Six Sigma and change management tools/methodologies to ensure project success e.g.
Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping, DMAIC etc.
Lead and manage Operational Excellence projects as appropriate.Contribute to Operational Excellence team management of all aspects of the site's project portfolio management program.
