Hygiene Manager
We are assisting a leading FMCG food company in recruiting a Hygiene Manager to join their team.
Job Summary:
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of hygiene and safety across the site, coordinating the Hygiene shift personnel, and driving continuous improvement opportunities.
Main Responsibilities:
* Take full control of the Hygiene team on site, ensuring they are correctly skilled and all Hygiene policies and legislation are adhered to.
* Ensure employee and product safety at all times.
* Coordinate all Hygiene shift personnel via Team Leaders to ensure hygiene is completed to standard as per schedule, maintaining a safe, efficient, and cost-effective operation.
* Maximise continuous improvement opportunities in all areas through review of operations and implementing improvements.
* Motivate and encourage a team by developing teamwork and supporting effective communications.
* Accept personal accountability for health and safety, training and development, resolution of employee relation issues, and concerns.
* Set targets, ensuring these are measured and monitored, and capture Key Performance Indicators, minimising waste.
* Budgetary control of the shift, reducing spend where possible, and drive cost-saving ideas.
* Work with other departments in a team approach to provide an effective and efficient service to the Operations Manager and departments.
Requirements:
* Experience in a similar role.
* Understanding of BRC standards.
* Understanding of GMP.
* Good standard of spoken and written English, allowing written instructions to be read and effectively communicated.
* Solid level of numeracy - ability to calculate and report on performance.
* A high level of flexibility is required.
