Role Overview
Flogas Ireland seeks a permanent Filling Plant Operative to join our team in Tullow on a full-time basis. As part of our Cylinder Business Unit, you will ensure the safe filling and distribution of cylinders to meet daily demand and deliver gas to customers on time.
Key Responsibilities:
* Operate equipment for filling cylinders with liquefied or compressed gases.
* Move cylinders onto platform scales or place them in manifold racks using manual methods or a chain hoist.
* Connect lines from the manifold to cylinders.
* Adjust valves and monitor gauges to fill cylinders to specified pressures.
* Observe scale indicators to fill cylinders to specified weights.
* Apply chemical solutions to cylinder valves to test for leaks.
* Complete and attach warning and identification tags specifying tare and gross weight, cylinder number, gas type, and date filled.
* Record data.
* Inspect or test empty cylinders as required.
* Evacuate residual gases from cylinders.
* Test filled cylinders for gas pressure by connecting gauges and comparing readings.
* Additional duties may be assigned.
Candidate Requirements
We seek a highly organized individual with strong communication and interpersonal skills. The ideal candidate has a positive attitude, works well in teams, and can thrive in dynamic environments. A background in general operations is preferred, along with 1-2 years of experience handling changing circumstances effectively.
