Description:
Responsibility for the day-to-day running of the project, taking instruction from the Project Manager and executing the same. Ensuring all works are completed in a safe and workmanlike manner.
This position is based in Limerick with an 8-12 week contract term on this specific project. There is scope to remain with the company hereafter on projects in Limerick or Galway.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Liaise with, and take instruction from, the Project Manager.
2. Oversee internal site operations on a daily basis, including subcontractors' works.
3. Update and maintain daily allocation sheets, plant records, materials deliveries, HSE registers/GA forms, and send back to head office on a weekly basis, or as applicable.
4. Ensure site safety rules and HSE procedures are enforced and adhered to at all times. Responsible for checking and ensuring that all required subcontractors' Health & Safety and Insurance information has been received prior to commencement.
5. Approval of Subcontractor Health & Safety Information (Method Statements, Risk Assessments, etc.) in conjunction with the company HSE Officer.
6. Review all issued construction information and evaluate that details are fit for purpose.
7. Attend site meetings, internal review meetings, and safety review meetings to ensure that all works are carried out in a safe and correct manner.
8. Be aware of the Environmental Policy and the environmental aspects/impact of the project operations.
Selection Criteria/Person Specification:
All forepersons must hold a valid Safe Pass card prior to gaining access on site.
