Data Center Logistics Specialist
We are seeking a Logistics Specialist to join our team at Amazon Web Services (AWS). As a Data Center Logistics Specialist, you will play a critical role in the operation of our global infrastructure.
Your Key Responsibilities:
* Maintain inventory levels to ensure proper stock levels are maintained for build and repair activities.
* Receive parts, maintain inventory, and check-out parts as needed to Data Center Technicians and Engineers.
* Loading and unloading shipments and transporting parts between different locations.
* Keep precise records of all commodities going in and out of the company.
* Maintain the cleanliness, organization, and safety of all workspaces.
Physical / Environmental Demands:
* Requires standing, sitting, and walking for prolonged periods of time.
* Typically work is in a warehouse environment where the noise level is moderate to loud.
* May also work in a data center environment where the noise level is loud.
* Occasionally assist in loading and unloading shipments.
* Occasionally exposed to extreme cold or hot weather.
* This role may involve travel between sites.
* This role may also involve driving and transporting between sites with the use of a company vehicle.

AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on.
You'll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. You'll collaborate with people across AWS to help us deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
* 1+ years of logistics experience.
* 1+ year experience in team leadership/supervisory experience.
* Valid driver's license with access to personal vehicle for daily use.
* Proficiency with MS Excel.
* Able to read and form actionable plans using data/metrics.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
* 1+ years of material forecasting experience.
* 1+ year of experience in shipping & receiving, inventory, and warehousing practices.
* Experience in data center environment.
* Experience in process improvement.
* Experience in management or leadership of a decentralized team.
