As an Agribusiness Area Sales Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of the Retail Stores under your control and the generation of the specified budgeted bottom line profit. You will report to the Agribusiness Sales and Procurement Manager.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop a Sales Plan for your allocated Stores.
* Be involved in all Aurivo related activity in your area and promote best practices at the farm level through the use of the Farm Commercial Specialist Team, the Farm Profitability Team, and the Nutritionist.
* Ensure adherence to the provisions outlined in the Procedures Manual in all aspects of Stores operation.
* Maintain stock levels at agreed levels and ensure that prescribed stock turnover levels are achieved on an annual basis.
* Identify areas of growth potential and turn these into profitable sales.
* Ensure that agreed budgets are adhered to and that expected gross margins are achieved across all stock ranges consistently.
* Take remedial action where budgeted targets are not being achieved.
* Utilize the CORE ERP system to its full potential and adhere to all prescribed procedures and processes.
* Train all staff to an adequate standard in Customer Service and Merchandising techniques.
* Facilitate and support organizational change as necessary to maintain competitiveness.
* Address all customer complaints/issues in a constructive manner.
* Handle all staff issues in accordance with established Aurivo practice.
* Maintain accurate attendance and holiday records for all employees under your control.
* Communicate pertinent information to employees and management regarding any issues arising as appropriate.
* Maintain all appropriate standards at all times including sales targets, safety, hygiene, and housekeeping.
* Address all Health and Safety and Risk issues as a matter of urgency and develop a positive Health and Safety culture in your Stores.
* Perform any other relevant duties that may arise from time to time.
Additional Requirements
* Third Level qualification or equivalent in an appropriate discipline. Good literacy and numeracy skills are required. Computer literate.
* Appropriate retail experience with good knowledge of the Agri sector and requirements. Preferably some previous managerial experience in a retail environment. Good business acumen and people skills.
* Ability to drive sales, lead effective teams, and possess strong communication and influencing skills.
