Job Title: Project Manager
About the Project
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead a large educational project in Waterford, working with a busy contractor with an annual turnover of €100M+.
The ideal candidate will have experience managing jobs valued over €15M from start to finish.
Key Responsibilities
* Coordinate and monitor construction drawings, specifications, and work requirements.
* Modify and update the project programme with senior management to ensure key milestones are met.
* Liaise with the design team to ensure works are completed according to the programme.
* Report to the Contracts Manager.
* Direct and Manage personnel, site staff, and subcontractors.
* Manage and coordinate weekly progress meetings, workshops, and plan actions.
* Overcome any issues that may arise during the construction phase in a timely and efficient manner.
* Ensure that H&S and Company Compliance procedures are adhered to.
* Monitor construction to ensure quality of work.
* Coordinate and liaise with Contracts Manager, Site Engineers, and Service Coordinators to ensure all personnel have accurate and timely information.
Requirements
* Degree in Construction Management or similar (Third level qualification) is essential.
* A minimum of 5 years experience in a construction management position.
* Background in engineering is desirable.
* Ability to effectively manage site programme and associated schedules to required deadlines.
* Experience managing multiple subcontractors at a time.
* Thorough knowledge of computer and database applications such as Microsoft Office and Project/PowerPoint.
* Excellent IT skills and good digital and visual presentational skills.
