Job Description:
The Resuscitation Officer provides clinical leadership in the provision of resuscitation training services, accountable to the Clinical Director/Director of Nursing Liaison.
* Coordinate and manage the Resuscitation Service in the National Rehabilitation Hospital
* Plan, organize, implement, and evaluate Basic and Advanced life support training for personnel
* Supervise and train staff in all levels of resuscitation training, including identification and responding to clinically deteriorating patients
* Act as an expert in resuscitation, providing advice on training, education, and practice
* Promote the importance of resuscitation throughout the hospital and ensure staff are competent and up-to-date in their resuscitation skills
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Provide clinical leadership in resuscitation training
* Develop, administer, and evaluate resuscitation training
* Review current practice and procedures for resuscitation
* Organize and deliver BLS and heart saver AED training
* Co-ordinate and deliver Sepsis, Anaphylaxis, medical emergency scenario, and INEWS training
* Complete regular emergency equipment audits
* Monitor compliance of emergency trolley checks
* Evaluate resuscitation procedures, techniques, and equipment
* Participate in research and evaluations of procedures, protocols, or equipment
Acountability:
The Resuscitation Officer reports to the Clinical Director of the National Rehabilitation Hospital.
