Job Title: Digital Content Producer Department: Research and Innovation Reporting to: Gallery Director Location: St Stephen's Green, Dublin 2 Contract/Duration: Fixed Term Full time (3 years) Salary: Up to €45,000 (plus an additional 10% performance related payment subject to meeting specific KPIs) Closing Date: April 28th 2025 A new public health gallery RCSI's new public health gallery is a flagship public engagement facility located in 118 St Stephen's Green, a striking new building which writes the latest chapter of our historic story in the heart of Dublin. Due for completion in summer 2025, 118 St Stephen's Green is an 8-storey €95 million project that will transform and enrich students' learning experience and provide vital infrastructure for our pioneering health-sciences research and innovation. In the entrance foyer of the building, with views onto St Stephen's Green, the gallery is RCSI's first purpose-built public space, welcoming people in to join a shared culture of learning, innovation and creativity. Through a rolling programme of exhibitions, events and online activities, the gallery will be a place for everyone to join conversations about living longer, healthier and happier lives. Digital Content Producer As the gallery's Digital Content Producer you will play a key role in a small team. Your skills in digital storytelling and commissioning will help to create a vibrant visitor experience, in-person and online. Content Strategy and Delivery Working with the Gallery Director and RCSI colleagues, develop the gallery digital content strategy and delivery plan Develop audience strategy and tone of voice for different online platforms Oversee the commissioning and production of digital assets that can be used flexibly across physical exhibitions and online platforms Lead on development and delivery of the gallery's online platforms, including website and social media Contribute to creative briefs for exhibitions, ensuring that digital experiences are an integral part of the visitor experience. The space is approximately 250m2 and it is envisaged that modular reusable exhibition structures will be used to ensure a more sustainable approach. There will be a large digital screen in the space. Oversee formative and summative evaluation for gallery digital experiences Adapt content created across RCSI for integration into public digital platforms, and develop original scripts where necessary Ensure that digital content is rigorous and informed by RCSI research Ensure that digital content meets accessibility guidelines Monitor performance of digital content using analytics and user evaluation Ensure that digital content is regularly refreshed Programme Management and Operations In liaison with RCSI colleagues, management of calendar for gallery/online digital content to ensure tie-ins with organisational, national and international activities and events, ensuring maximum reach Planning and management of digital commissions, in liaison with the Gallery Production Manager Project management of digital contractors, in liaison with the Gallery Production Manager Project management of online content creators Contributing to project documentation including project initiation documents, risk registers, partnership agreements and operational manuals Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and best practice, and all necessary permits and licences Liaison and coordination with RCSI teams including representatives of Schools and Research Departments, Estates & Support Services, IT Department, Communications and Events, Marketing Departments and the Library Department. Liaison with external stakeholders including artists, researchers and patient organisations Financial and Resource Management Working with the Gallery Director and Gallery Production Manager, setting and managing budgets for digital outputs as part of the wider programming budget. Managing procurement processes in line with RCSI procedures General Duties Acting as a Gallery Duty Manager on a rota basis Supporting project content teams Management of gallery staff and volunteers as required Acting as an ambassador for the Gallery and Public Engagement activities in RCSI and externally. Performing such other duties as may be required from time to time Undertaking other appropriate duties as assigned by the Gallery Director or nominee Complying with statutory legislation and gallery rules and requirements in furtherance of your own and general staff and student welfare and safety Undergoing programmes of training and development as may be required Representing the best interests of the Gallery/RCSI at all times Qualifications - (Desirable): A degree or vocational qualification in a relevant field (for example, but not limited to: science communication, journalism, marketing) Knowledge & Experience - (Essential): Experience of communicating science and medicine content for general audiences Experience of planning, commissioning and producing digital content for a variety of audiences Experience of creating and scheduling content for a range of social media platforms Experience of using content management systems, social media platforms and data analytics Excellent editorial and writing skills, with a keen eye for detail Experience of managing consultants and contractors Experience of budget management Knowledge of procurement processes Familiarity with CMS systems such as Sitecore and Wordpress Familiarity with CRM systems High level of proficiency of Microsoft Office Experience of managing a complex workload in a dynamic and changing environment Knowledge & Experience - (Desirable): Experience of managing digital content for visitor attractions such as galleries, museums, heritage sites and tourist attractions Experience of line management or mentoring staff We are all too aware that imposter syndrome and the confidence gap can sometimes stop fantastic candidates putting themselves forward, so please do submit an application - we'd love to hear from you.
