EHS Advisor
Location: Dublin, Ireland. Type: Permanent. Category: Compliance/Legal.
€60,000 to €65,000 salary. 2-3 years of experience required.
EHS Advisor Role
The appointed Environmental, Health & Safety Advisor will be responsible for providing a professional health and safety service to all levels of staff within client organizations. The role will report directly to the EHS Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
* Developing and administering procedures (safety statement, risk assessments, safety protocols) to ensure compliance with legislative requirements and corporate policy.
* Maintenance and development of ISO45001 & ISO14001 as part of the Integrated Management System.
* Conducting and reviewing risk assessments, ensuring control measures are implemented and monitored.
* Managing Emergency Preparedness and Response Plans.
* Providing health and safety advice on-site/projects.
* Preparing documentation for site projects.
* Ensuring contractor safety arrangements are established.
* Liaising with facilities/technical/administrative staff.
* Completing DSE workstation assessments/WFH Assessments.
* Manual handling training/risk assessments.
* Working closely with senior managers/advising where necessary.
* Managing Occupational Health services.
* Auditing and maintaining systems in accordance with current legislation/corporate procedures.
* Investigating/reporting accidents/incidents.
* Participating in safety groups/communications forums.
* Maintaining records/systems including confidential information.
* Developing/delivering training on core EHS subjects/specialist areas.
* Maintaining documented evidence/training.
* Providing staff/client health and safety training/competency advice.
* Producing professional reports to management/clients.
Essential Requirements:
* Degree in health and safety.
* Experience in managing ISO14001 or ISO 45001.
* Minimum 5 years of experience within a similar role in a customer service environment.
* DSE Assessor trained.
* Auditing environmental health and safety management systems.
* Proficiency in Microsoft IT applications.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Good organizational skills/multitasking.
* Enthusiasm/reliability.
* Fluency in English.
* Full clean driving license.
* Access to own vehicle.
Ideal Requirements:
* Manual Handling Instructor/DSE Assessor trained.
* Knowledge/experience working within facilities management.
* Trained First Aid Responder.
