Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Deli Manager to lead our clients busy deli department. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring high-quality food service, managing a team, and driving sales while maintaining excellent standards of hygiene and customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage all aspects of the deli department, including sandwich counter, hot food counter, cold meats, savouries, cheese, and salad bar.
2. Oversee stock ordering and control to ensure availability and reduce waste.
3. Manage department financials, controlling costs and maximizing profitability.
4. Develop and implement sales-driving initiatives.
5. Ensure full compliance with HACCP regulations and food safety standards.
6. Lead and manage a strong team, including training, performance management, and development.
7. Prepare and manage department rosters efficiently.
8. Maintain and enforce high store standards, ensuring a clean, organized, and well-presented deli area.
9. Deliver exceptional customer service and address any queries or complaints professionally.
Requirements:
1. Minimum 2-3 years' experience as a Deli Manager in a busy grocery retail environment (essential).
2. HACCP trained with a strong understanding of food safety regulations.
3. Ability to multi-task and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
4. Excellent communication and organizational skills.
5. Experience in staff training and development.
