Business Development Manager - Wallet, Payments and Commerce - Central Eastern Europe
The Apple Wallet and Payments Services team is seeking a Business Development Manager to lead strategic partnerships in Central Eastern Europe. This role involves managing relationships with existing partners and driving the adoption of new features and services in collaboration with them.
You will work cross-functionally with Technical, Product, Operations, and Marketing teams within Apple and the ecosystem of partners including Issuers, their Processors, and the partner ecosystem including Payment Schemes. As a market specialist, you will inform and influence strategic and product decisions by providing detailed insights on the market landscape, covering consumer trends, regulatory changes, and product needs.
You will also represent the needs of our partners and ensure that Apple has a deep understanding of these.
About the Role
* Establish, develop, and grow strong business relationships with Apple Pay Card Issuers.
* Lead all aspects of partner relationships ranging from day-to-day management through to the introduction of new projects.
* Provide high-quality communications to business leaders both within Apple and partners.
* Drive the implementation of solutions, ensuring all product requirements are completed to the highest standards.
* Find opportunities and put in place processes to scale existing and new services through partners.
* Monitor performance of services to ensure customers and partners have the best possible experiences and find opportunities for improvements.
This position requires a passion for payments, digital services, and the innovation disrupting the Financial Services sector. You will be a naturally curious person who challenges the standard ways of working and is comfortable balancing the needs of various internal teams with a strong sense of empathy for partners.
Requirements
* Experience of forming and developing sophisticated partner relationships, structuring and negotiating business and technical terms to close deals.
* Proven track record in assessing business and partner needs, prioritizing accordingly - identifying and delivering new business, product, and market opportunities with clients.
* Deep background and understanding of financial services and payments.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Fluency in Polish, or another Eastern European language, and English. One other European language a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
* Flexibility to handle directional changes in a high-paced, fast-changing, and sometimes unpredictable work environment, with the ability to juggle moving priorities and a portfolio of initiatives to ensure project success and drive impact.
* Knowledge and experience of the mobile contactless payment and wallet services landscape.
* Strong analytical skills.
* Degree education in a relevant field desirable but candidates from all education backgrounds are encouraged to apply. BA/BS/Masters desirable.
