This is a role well suited to an ambitious recently Graduated Engineer, looking to take the first steps of their Engineering career and expand on the theoretical and practical skills gained during their degree.
Siemens Healthineers based in Swords, Dublin, are expanding the engineering team to complement our existing broad range of engineering competencies and is looking to recruit Graduate Engineers on a 2-year program from a Software or Computer Science Discipline.
The successful candidate will report to a Principal Engineer or Senior Engineer on site in Swords and will form part of a flexible engineering team supporting development and manufacture of medical laboratory diagnostics instrumentation.
Candidates will have the potential to develop a strong technical capability with ability to trouble shoot technical problems to root cause within the software Engineering team. This will involve design and validation of technical solutions to enhance product and process capability across different technologies. Ideally, the successful candidate will have some practical hands-on experience in hardware/software or analytical instrumentation. Candidates must have an ability to work across a significant subset of the key technologies involved in modern instrumentation such as, Software, Artificial Intelligence, computer science.

Your qualifications and experience:
Must hold a bachelor's degree in a relevant technical discipline software or Computer Science
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
An excellent team player who knows how to work in a team environment
Practical experience with hardware/software or laboratory work
Enthusiastic and keen to develop theoretical and practical skills gained during academic cycle
Your attributes and skills:
Provide technical support to Laboratory diagnostic instrumentation platforms in a low volume, high complex, and highly regulated environment.
Assist in design and validation of technical solutions to enhance product and process capability.
An aptitude in mechanical/electromechanical hardware, Software or Artificial Intelligence is required. The successful candidate must have the capability to analyze problems to root cause with a structured approach.
