Building a sustainable tomorrow, we are seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Dublin. BAM Ireland is the main contractor on the New Children's Hospital project, the largest government project in Irish history. The hospital will be a 7-story building with approximately 160,000m2 of accommodation, including a car park. It will feature 6150 rooms, with 380 individual inpatient rooms, each with an en-suite and a bed for parents to sleep near their children. There will also be 93 Day Beds and 22 operating theaters and procedure rooms. The hospital will have 1000 underground car parking spaces, with 675 designated for families and 31 emergency spaces outside the Emergency Department.
Job Responsibilities:
- Advise on contractual matters at both general and project levels.
- Process contractual claims and associated records.
- Identify opportunities to maximize revenue and reduce costs, as well as investigate losses.
- Assist with project cash management.
- Provide advice and support with project correspondence.
- Negotiate and agree subcontractors' terms.
- Ensure timely finalization of accounts.
- Draft commercial and contractual correspondence promptly.
- Prepare and review monthly cost reports.
- Review and update risk registers, variation trackers, and extension of time tracker sheets monthly, incorporating them into monthly reports.
Requirements:
- Professional qualification in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management.
- Proven extensive experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor on construction projects.
- Ability to work on large-scale sites with high headcounts and subcontractors.
- Strong time management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
- Strong understanding of the construction industry and site work.
