Job Description
Elkstone is looking to recruit an enthusiastic Sales Development Representative to join our Wealth Management Team. The successful candidate will report to the Managing Director, Wealth Management, and work in close partnership with the business generation, marketing, and product teams, and will be responsible for generating insights into both individual and institutional investors.
The Sales Development Representative will also be responsible for identifying new business verticals and forming business origination strategies in cooperation with the business generation team and the marketing team, to guide the business development of the Wealth Management Team.
Main responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
1. Assisting the business development team and the marketing teams by working with demand generation, qualifying prospects and collaboratively building Elkstone’s sales pipeline by proactively identifying opportunities and managing the early stages of the lead generation funnel activities.
2. Completing market analysis, researching and identifying business opportunities by sector, individual and by product and services.
3. Working collaboratively with the business generation team to develop and implement prospecting strategies.
4. This role is central to maximising the efficient work of the Wealth Management team as it originates new clients for Elkstone by creating effective work streams to identify new clients in Ireland, UK and the Irish diaspora.
5. Supporting both business and marketing activities as required, by providing project management capabilities for ad hoc projects.
6. Gaining and maintaining good knowledge and clear understanding of the CRM systems utilised in the firm.
7. Acting as a primary point of contact for the Wealth Management team as it forms business plans to originate for new clients.
8. Investigating and analysing opportunities for service and business improvement in how we deliver service to our clients.
9. An ability to understand and be successful in different working styles, approaches and audiences.
Requirements
1. A Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent is required, ideally in business or finance related disciplines.
2. Previous proven experience working in a similar role for at least 2 years is a distinctive advantage.
3. A keen interest and good understanding of how the financial services and wealth industry functions.
4. Proactive and creative approach to problem solving.
5. A strong aptitude to numeracy as well as good organisational skills.
6. Happy to work in an environment that promotes autonomy and demands accountability.
7. The ability to work in a fast-paced, evolving environment and use a flexible approach to enable rapid delivery.
8. Satisfy the minimum competency criteria as set out in the Minimum Competency Code of the Central Bank of Ireland.
9. Fluency in English, both spoken and written, with excellent communication skills.
10. Computer literacy, in particular strong proficiency with MS Office tools: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook.
11. Experience of working with a recognised project management methodology and proven experience in the use of a CRM system.
