Job Summary
This is an excellent opportunity to work as a Machinist for a world-leading global aerospace manufacturing organisation in Belfast. The successful candidate will be responsible for machining various composite and metallic component parts on a multi-axis CNC machine.
Key Responsibilities
* Machining composite and metallic component parts using multi-axis CNC machinery
* Assisting engineering with part proveouts and machine alignments
* Ensuring finished work conforms to engineering requirements
* Planning the most cost-effective method to produce components to drawing requirements
* Performing weekly TPM checks
* Setting up cutting tools as per CNC program requirements
* Setting up parts as per EPR requirements on programmable actuators and solid fixtures
Requirements
* Served a recognised mechanical apprenticeship
* At least 1 year's relevant post-apprenticeship machining experience within the last 5 years
* Understanding of CNC programming
* Able to read and interpret engineering drawings and other related technical documentation
* Prepared to work a range of shifts
* Understanding of 5-axis machine kinematics (advantageous)
* Knowledge of Siemens 840D/Fanuc controllers (advantageous)
