Job Description
We are seeking to recruit an Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Infrastructure Specialist to join the IT Department reporting to the IT Manager on a permanent basis.
The ICT Infrastructure Specialist will manage the day-to-day activities to support and monitor the operation of the Site Information and Communication systems infrastructure. As a member of the IT Team, they will work closely with IT colleagues and 3rd Party IT Support Vendors to provide operational and project support for all IT infrastructure on the Swords site.
Main Responsibilities
The ICT Infrastructure Specialist will:
* Ensure any Changes to IT systems are implemented in compliance with site Change Control Procedures and Security Standards
* Work with Managed Service Partners, Vendors, and site stakeholders to manage Lifecycle of Site IT Infrastructure, to ensure infrastructure remains reliable and fit for purpose in supporting site operations
* Act as site point of contact and hands and eyes for initial troubleshooting of issues with the remote Support teams of our 3rd Party Service Partners for Server Hosting, Network, and Print Services
* Manage site IT cabling, patching, and wall port infrastructure (Fibre, LAN)
* Monitor and support site communications systems, triage issues, and liaise with Support Vendors as necessary to resolve
Communications Systems
The ICT Infrastructure Specialist will be responsible for monitoring and supporting the following Communications Systems:
* Avaya SIP Telephone System and associated handsets
* Lone Worker/Man Down System comprising Atex Mobile Phones (Android), Mobile Repeater infrastructure, and Bluetooth beacons
* Sigma two-way Radio System for ERT
A/V Equipment
The ICT Infrastructure Specialist will also be responsible for monitoring and supporting A/V equipment in 12 Conference Rooms, including Flatscreen TVs, Projectors, and cameras, audio equipment, and touch panels used in Teams Rooms.
System Backups
The ICT Infrastructure Specialist will monitor System Backups and liaise with Hosting Provider to address any issues.
Regulatory Compliance
The ICT Infrastructure Specialist will adhere to GAMP Guidelines, cGMP, 21 CFR Part 11, internal and external audit requirements, and SK company policies relating to Computer System Validation, Data Integrity, and IT Security.
Requirements
The successful candidate will have a degree-level qualification in a relevant IT, engineering, or similar technical discipline and have a minimum of 3 years' experience of IT system support. Experience of working in a GMP regulated environment is desirable.
A good working knowledge of TCP/IP Networking, Server Virtualisation, and communication systems is expected. The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate good problem-solving techniques regarding fault finding and troubleshooting system-related issues and must have strong communication skills.
