Apple's Global Security team is looking for a seasoned manager to build and lead our Ireland-based team members who work directly with business units, vendors, and facilities teams to provide security services. You will strategize, plan, and develop creative concepts on a wide variety of projects, initiatives, and campaigns. You’ll be continuously leading the charge on creative problem-solving, improving ineffective processes, and driving what matters.
Your work will help build solutions to a variety of unique security challenges, ranging from the physical security of sites and events to the protection of our supply chain. You'll develop solutions to support our physical security capabilities, increase the efficiency and effectiveness of our operation, and coordinate critical incidents affecting Apple.
Description
You will be a subject matter expert (SME) on leading others and managing multiple concurrent projects or initiatives. Maintain high-level oversight and accountability ensuring an event or site remains secure, assess security risks, develop internal controls for privacy, incident prevention, or proprietary information theft, and ensure that employees are safe. In addition, the duties include but are not limited to:
1. Strategise and forecast with leaders from the business groups who request security services to ensure each assignment and the scope of work are well planned, executed, and confidential.
2. Project management oversight, attend meetings, and communicate updates to the team which include trainings and event debriefs.
3. Establish relationships with law enforcement, government agencies, EHS, facilities, and outside vendors.
4. Ensure the development, implementation, and maintenance of site or project specific security procedures and plans.
5. Conduct regular 1:1s and development discussions with team members.
Minimum Qualifications
* Extensive experience leading, hiring, and developing teams.
* Proven track record of success in a high-volume, fast-paced customer service setting.
* Established expertise in corporate site security or program management preferred, global experience.
* Outstanding verbal and written communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, ability to deliver impactful presentations at all levels of the organisation.
* Ability to work collaboratively, with previous experience working on complex, international, large-scale, time-critical projects.
* Results-oriented, upbeat, and focused with a strong desire to learn and succeed.

* Ability to react to changes in a time-critical environment to meet security needs and quickly evaluate situations.
* Ability to think quickly and perform problem-solving tasks within dynamic conditions.
* Ability to travel 25 - 35% of the time, with on-call responsibilities.
* This position will be based in Cork, Ireland and is office-based five days a week.
