Job Title: Automation Specialist
Description:
The Automation Specialist will support the set-up of automation functions at Rathdrum, ensuring high levels of uptime for all required systems to support manufacturing plans. The role will report to the site Automation Lead and have a strong relationship with the site Operations, Quality, and EHS functions.
* Technical assistance in measuring automation system availability and implementing solutions to improve it to the required level to support Manufacturing and Critical Utility Operations.
* Minimizing the costs of ownership of Automation Systems.
* Mentoring the automation team to achieve site and department goals in a fast-paced environment.
* Performing and documenting engineering studies and evaluations.
* Collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop and implement sustainable manufacturing processes and systems.
Key Responsibilities:
* Supporting the development of long-term asset upgrades for all automated systems and processes.
* Implementing effective Change Control processes for all site automation systems.
* Maintaining CSV qualification libraries of documents to ensure they are audit-ready at all times.
* Ensuring compliance with Zoetis, FDA/HPRA, and other regulatory agency policies and standards for Manufacturing Automation systems.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in an engineering or science field.
* At least 5 years' experience in a similar role in a GMP-regulated manufacturing environment.
* Strong automation background and experience with MES systems.
* Deep understanding of GMP and Quality standards required in the API Manufacturing sector.
* Ability to work on own initiative with minimal direction.
