Job Description:
The Social Care Worker role is to deliver high-quality care and support to day attenders at Stewarts Care, adhering to New Directions standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide oversight and governance of assigned day services.
* Manage daily planning and activities for assigned day services.
* Lead teams within assigned day services.
* Supervise staff, ensuring effective training and performance.
* Maintain relationships with service users based on equality and respect.
* Regularly report to the Service Manager on operational effectiveness.
* Ensure service user needs are consistently met.
* Foster communication with families and colleagues involved in supporting service users.
* Implement operational plans as determined by Care Management.
Requirements:
* CORU-approved Level 7 Degree in Social Care or registration with CORU as a Social Care Worker.
* Demonstrated commitment to Stewarts Care values, improving lives through service excellence.
* Able to work independently.
* Experience working with complex needs in diverse situations.
* Excellent organisational and communication skills.
* High initiative and integrity.
* Knowledge of relevant legislation and New Directions standards, with proven ability to implement.
* Genuine interest in supporting rights and needs of individuals with intellectual disabilities.
* Able to create clear, concise reports for service users.
* Flexible, willing to develop new approaches as service user needs change.
Preferred Qualification: Full clean driving licence.
