In this leadership role, you’ll be responsible for daily operations, ensuring the safety and enjoyment of our visitors, managing logistics, and motivating your team to deliver the best outdoor adventures around. From managing school groups to corporate events, no two days will be the same.
What You'll Be Doing
As an Adventure Manager at our dynamic outdoor adventure centre, you will play a pivotal role in both the operational leadership and hands-on management of our daily activities. In this role, you will:
* Lead Operations: Oversee the day-to-day management of our adventure centre, ensuring all activities are delivered with the highest standard of safety, fun, and exceptional service.
* Manage Teams: Directly coordinate and manage a dedicated team of outdoor instructors, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement. You’ll ensure smooth delivery of activities and that all team members are aligned with our core values and operational goals.
* Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the primary liaison with schools, corporate clients, and group leaders to tailor experiences that meet their unique needs, ensuring their time with us is memorable and seamlessly organized.
* Training and Development: Oversee and enhance staff training programs to maintain high standards of service and safety. Your role will involve mentoring staff and stepping in to lead by example, demonstrating the highest levels of engagement and professionalism.
* Cross-Departmental Support: While rostered as the duty manager, you will be the linchpin that supports and integrates the efforts of various departments, including front-of-house reception, activity coordination, and food and beverage services, ensuring a cohesive operational flow.
* Facility Oversight: Ensure that all facilities and equipment are well-maintained and meet regulatory and company standards, facilitating an environment where safety and quality are paramount.
This role is designed for a leader who thrives in a fast-paced outdoor setting and is passionate about delivering outstanding adventure experiences. In this role you will have the support of a Senior Management team. REQUIREMENTS
* Minimum of 2 Years Leading a Team. Proven experience in managing teams, ensuring smooth operations, and meeting organisational goals. The candidate must have a history of successfully leading staff, preferably in a fast-paced or customer-facing environment.
* Strong Communication Skills. Demonstrate experience in effectively communicating with diverse teams and stakeholders. The ability to convey clear instructions and handle client interactions is essential.
* Proven Decision-Making and Problem-Solving Abilities. A track record of making timely, informed decisions in previous managerial roles, with the ability to think on their feet, particularly in high-pressure situations.
* Exceptional customer service experience, especially in roles requiring direct interaction with clients or large groups.
