OverviewThe successful candidate will be responsible for the testing Raw Materials and Bulk testing in compliance with our specifications.
All activities are conducted in accordance with current Good Manufacturing Practice and safety requirements, while ensuring a positive team environment and a focus on continuous improvement.
This is a temporary role for 9 months initially.
ResponsibilitiesComply with Confidentiality PolicyEnsure the accurate and timely analysis and disposition of raw materials in accordance with PepsiCo standards and proceduresOrganize the replenishment of relevant laboratory suppliesDevelop and maintain an effective working relationship with process operatorsDevelop and maintain an effective working relationship with Pepsi's Product Development group.Liaise with manufacturing and R&D on the smooth introduction of new products during and after scale-up.Flexible regarding priority changesA requirement of this role is that all PepsiCo Health and Safety requirements are adhered to.Become familiar with the material/product portfolioRegistering QC samples in the laboratory management systems accuratelyMeticulous attention to sample data entry and preparationPrepare all production, delivery and issue samples in a timely mannerEnsure timely and effective issue resolution and communicationMaintain and calibrate laboratory equipment as required.Maintain all relevant records and samples in an organized system for quick and effective access to information with a particular focus on trace-abilityAdhere to safe lab practices and GLPQualificationsBSc in food science, chemistry or equivalentA minimum of 1-2 years experience working with ingredients/materials/productDemonstrate an understanding of business fundamentals and synergies of cost/quality/service to maximize impact on work effortGood interpersonal and communication skills with proven ability to positively influence others and lead teamsGood troubleshooting skills.Ability to manage a varied workload.Ability to work on own initiative, self-motivated
