BID Manager Role
We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled BID Manager to join our commercial team in Donabate. As a senior member of the team, you will utilize your expertise in cost estimation and construction sector experience to lead the cost estimation process, ensuring accuracy and completeness of all estimates.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and develop professional excellence in the estimating function in support of Sales and Hire within the Irish Business Unit.
* Manage the cost estimation process, ensuring accuracy and completeness of all estimates.
* Implement quality control procedures to ensure that all bid submissions are of the highest standard.
* Develop Bid Documentation, Project BOQ and Budgets.
* Evaluate contractor and supplier bids and deliver category awards.
* Lead or contribute to value engineering exercises to optimise project costs without compromising quality or performance.
About You:
Our ideal candidate has:
* A relevant degree or technical qualification, however relevant experience is more important.
* Estimating / Bid / order negotiation experience within Construction.
* An excellent level of understanding and application of costs, markups and margins.
* Experience managing subcontractors.
* Experience in leading, managing, developing, and motivating teams.
