Your Role
As a field service engineer for Agilent, you will be responsible for supporting our clients with on-site installation, implementation, maintenance and delivery of customer training on our chromatography solutions (LC, LCMS along with other instruments).
You will work at a variety of customer sites, so having an appetite for continuously learning about new instruments, software and consumables is key. Applying your communication skills, creativity and can-do attitude is essential. The ability to help with solving customer problems and a commitment to deliver the highest-levels of customer service is how you will build customer success.
* Respond to customer needs by providing repair, installation, upgrade and preventive maintenance activities
* Contact customers in a timely manner and schedules service efficiently
* Connect with manager and sales team to understand and meet customer needs and expectations
* Maintain Agilent's customer service reputation by aligning with all corporate policies and procedures
* Complete administrative paperwork and computer reports promptly and accurately
* Provide feedback to the Product Specialists, manufacturing or OEM vendors concerning performance anomalies encountered use the complaint handling system as required
* Address customer requests for service and communicate proactively before during and after service
* Deliver accurate and timely reporting of service jobs
* This role won't be head-office based and you will working remotely combined with travel to customer sites in Ireland a company car will be available to you
Qualifications
We are looking for an individual with the following background:
* University degree in Life Science related topic (Chemistry Biochemistry Biotechnology etc)
* Previous experience as a Field Service engineer is desirable but not essential
* First hands-on laboratory experience with chromatography solutions (LC GC LCMS) as an end-user or in a technical support role
* Verbal and written communication is clear respectful and timely
* Good experience with Computer/Software/Server connected and operated equipment
* Experience in LC/MS techniques is desirable but not essential
* You will need to be proactive and self-driven as well as having curiosity and willingness to learn new products
* You enjoy travelling and visiting customers
* A Full Clean EU driving license
