Job Description
We are a small highly respected Montessori School based in Swords. Established over 20 years ago we cater for 16 children in one large classroom with 2 highly experienced teachers. We are looking for another team member to join our team to assist across the classroom and to support the needs of a child with Aim Support.
Roles and Responsibilities
To work as part of a team delivering the highest standard of care and education in line with Aistear and Siolta guidelines. In particular, the role involves:
1. Supporting the inclusion of your key child into the daily activities of New Horizons within the AIM Support Framework - both individually and within groups.
2. Assisting with the observations of your key child on a regular basis to provide relevant information for planning for the childs needs.
3. Working cooperatively with other team members to provide a stimulating, caring and nurturing environment.
4. Reporting to the Montessori Teacher within New Horizons Montessori School
5. Assisting in maintaining all regulatory paperwork where necessary.
The successful candidate must have
The ideal candidate will have;
6. Minimum Fetac Level 5 in Early Childhood Education
7. A passion for working with children in a Montessori environment
8. Previous experience working with young children
9. Fluent English and good communication skills
Applicants must also supply character references and be prepared to complete a Garda vetting form.
Hours
15 hours per week - 9.00 a.m. to 12.00 p.m. during term time.
