JOB SUMMARY
The Site Electrical Engineer's responsibilities include managing different parts of electrical erection works on-site, supervising crew members, preparing estimates for time and material costs, completing quality assurance, observing health and safety standards, and compiling reports for different stakeholders.
The Site Electrical Engineer should demonstrate strong analytical and logical thinking skills.
RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Act as the main technical adviser on a construction site for subcontractors, craftspeople, and operatives
2. Set out, level and survey the site.
3. Check plans, drawings, and quantities for accuracy of the design documents.
4. Ensure that all materials used, and work performed are in accordance with the specifications.
5. Agree a price for materials and make cost-effective solutions and proposals for the intended project.
6. Manage, monitor, and interpret the contract design documents supplied by the client or main architect engineer.
7. Liaise with any consultants, subcontractors, supervisors, planners, quantity surveyors and the general workforce involved in the project.
8. Liaise with the local authority (where appropriate to the project) to ensure compliance with local construction regulations and by-laws.
9. Communicate with clients and their representatives, including attending regular meetings to keep them informed of progress.
10. Carry out day-to-day management of the site, including supervising and monitoring the site labour force and the work of any subcontractors - this is site-specific and may not be the case on all projects.

12. Plan the work and efficiently organize the plant and site facilities to meet agreed deadlines.
QUALIFICATIONS
13. Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction, or a related degree.
14. +5 years of work experience in a Construction company as a Site Engineer, Electrical Engineer, or a similar role.
15. A valid driver's license will be mandatory.
16. Proficiency in Computer-aided drafting (CAD) software.
17. Ability to manage tasks as per priorities.
18. Good project management skills.
19. Ability to maintain a positive work environment.
20. A hardworking and detailed-orientated individual.
21. Good ability to communicate information and ideas in writing so others will understand.
22. Prepared to adopt a flexible approach to working hours and arrangements.
