DescriptionBDO Ireland has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Manager to work within our expanding Employment Tax team.
The BDO Employment Tax team assists our clients in navigating the domestic and international complexities involved in meeting their employment tax obligations while proactively managing these employment tax costs.
Your role in the team will be focused on our three overarching service lines - domestic employment tax services, employee and executive share plans, and global mobility services.

Key ResponsibilitiesEngaging directly with employers and executives in relation to complex employment tax-related matters, including employment tax compliance, PAYE audits, management of workforce reduction programs, and international assignments.Advising clients on tax-efficient compensation.Provision of support with Revenue PAYE audits, including pre-audit reviews and negotiating with Revenue.Advising clients regarding their PAYE withholding obligations in respect of remuneration, benefits in kind, expenses, share remuneration, and termination payments.Advising on residency and taxation issues concerning employees both coming into and leaving Ireland.Developing proactive relationships with other departments within the firm.Driving the integration of innovative technologies further within our day-to-day business to deliver cost-effective and time-effective solutions and advice for our clients.Having a key role in training junior staff members and supporting senior staff members to promote learning and development initiatives. Skills, Knowledge and ExpertiseAITI or CTA qualified.6+ years' post-qualified experience.Strong technical skills across Employment and Expatriate Taxes.The ability to apply analytical and critical thinking in identifying potential tax issues and formulating effective solutions.Attention to detail: Producing consistent, high-quality work.Time management: Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently.Strong communication skills required for explaining complex tax concepts to non-tax professionals, collaborating with other departments within the firm and other BDO offices in the network, and providing clear guidance to team members.Ability to take ownership and responsibility for assigned tasks.Effective delegation skills, including the provision of clear instructions and expectations to trainees, along with offering necessary support and guidance.
