Post Summary
-The Financial Services Division (FSD) manages the financial affairs of Trinity College Dublin, processing and reporting on its financial transactions as well as providing robust management information to support strategic decision-making within the University.
FSD seeks to provide a responsive, effective, efficient and user-friendly support service for the College community and students.
Applications are invited for the role of Graduate /Trainee Chartered Accountant, with a full training programme aligned to Chartered Accountants Ireland to take place within the FSD.
Trinity is a complex financial entity and the Trainee Chartered Accountants are given exposure to the world of accounting and an opportunity to gather technical proficiency and commercial awareness in the areas of: Financial Accounting and Management ReportingFinance Planning, Budgeting and ForecastingTreasury ManagementProject AccountingAccounts payable & receivableTaxationBusiness Management (organisational, strategic and administration)
Information Technology Post status:
Specific Purpose ContractThe specific purpose of this employment is to participate in FSD's 'Graduate Training Programme' and to undertake accounting exams to become a full qualified accountant and member of the relevant accounting institute.
This role is not being offered on a permanent basis as it is a training contract with the sole purpose of supporting the study and qualification process and admittance to the relevant institute only.
Upon completion of the Graduate Training Programme, the role will no longer be required.
Hours of Post: 35 hours per week Salary: This appointment will be made on the Executive Officer Merged Salary Scale (€32,191 - €50,199 per annum) at a point in line with current Government pay policy.
