Job Description
The Behavioural Therapist will join an existing behaviour support team in Delta to support the provision of an effective and efficient positive behaviour support service for residents, day service users, their families, and the staff/management of the organisation. The behaviour therapy team implements a tiered model of positive behaviour support including training, consultation, and direct assessment & intervention.
The Behavioural Therapy team works alongside a multi-disciplinary team to support the wellbeing of all service users. They collaborate with the staff and management to ensure that the organisation has in place the necessary policies, procedures, protocols, and guidelines to support their residents and service users.
Qualifications
1. Degree in Psychology or related human service field
2. Postgraduate diploma, degree or masters in applied psychology or other related field
3. Significant experience working in the area of adult intellectual disability and/or autism
4. Previous experience working in a behaviour support role with adults with intellectual disability and/or autism
5. Experience in completing behavioural assessments and developing behaviour support plans
6. Evidence of continuous professional development
7. A full clean driving licence and the use of a car is essential
