* ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities for
Dental Hygienist:
Provide dental prophylaxis, periodontal therapy, application of fluoride and/or other services on patients.
Complete periodontal charting and obtain other diagnostic records on patients.
Perform facial and oral tissue and oral cancer screenings during exams.
Provide thorough individualized oral hygiene instructions and/or other post-operative instructions to patients.
Monitor oral hygiene and periodontal conditions on each patient.
Assist the Dentists when needed.
Take dental x-rays and/or impressions.
Sterilize dental instruments.
Maintain patient confidence and protect operations by keeping protected health information (PHI) confidential.
Use all functions and applications of TechCare relevant to document dental hygiene services within the patient record.
Maintain dental supply inventory by regularly checking the stock to determine appropriate inventory levels.
Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed.
QualificationsQualifications for
Dental Hygienist:
Dental radiology certification is required.
Current CPR Certification.
Current Certification from an accredited Hygiene Program.
