Responsibilities of this Food Safety and Quality Technical Specialist include
This role is responsible for ensuring Food Safety and Quality at every stage of the supply chain, from suppliers and raw material intake to production, product management, and customer relations.
7. Assist in the implementation and upkeep of Food Safety and Quality Management systems, including procedures, policies, and records.
8. Ensure products meet specifications through internal monitoring and assessments.
9. Handle product specifications; documentation required for quality management, including SOPs and QC records; daily completion of product attribute records.
10. Provide nutritional information for products, through calculations and/or analysis as needed.
11. Optimize Product Quality Inspection points to enhance quality awareness and maintain consistent product standards.
12. Coordinate customer complaints investigations, collaborating with relevant internal and external stakeholders to resolve issues.
13. Report non-conformances and implement corrective actions.
14. Complete CCP verification checks.
15. Maintain full product traceability at all process stages.
16. Attend meetings as requested and contribute positively.
17. Complete project work to improve Food Safety and Quality initiatives within the company.
18. Maintain and follow up on records.
Requirements for this Food Safety and Quality Technical Specialist include
19. A Science/Food Science Qualification, at least at the diploma level.
20. At least 1 year of QA/QC experience in a food manufacturing environment (preferred).
21. Flexibility, quick learning ability, problem-solving skills, and good communication and organizational skills.
22. The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
23. High attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and aptitude for making informed decisions.
