Our client is an industry-leading financial services company, and they currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Private Equity Accountant to join their team in Limerick on a 12-month contract. You will join the Real Estate and Infrastructure team and will provide fund administration services to the Irish Real Estate market.
Hybrid working is in place – 3 days in the office and 2 from home.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop an understanding of Fund Accounting requirements for Real Estate and Infrastructure Funds and keep up-to-date on the market as well as industry and regulatory requirements.
2. Collect relevant information to facilitate the production of Net Asset Values (NAVs) and management accounts, issuing these accurately and within agreed timeframes.
3. Understand the structure of property transactions and the process and approvals required.
4. Assist with the payment of operating expenses.
5. Liaise with internal departments such as Depositary, Transfer Agency, Legal, and Company Secretarial.
6. Provide client satisfaction and continuously improve the department's performance to clients both internal and external.
7. Ensure that operating arrangements are clearly established on the inception of a fund.
Requirements:
1. Yardi experience is a must.
2. Currently working towards or completed a Professional Accounting Qualification.
3. Previous experience in financial services or audit firm.
4. Knowledge of Irish/UK GAAP and IFRS and Irish regulatory/tax regime.
5. Strong communication skills and previous client services experience.
6. Experience in Accounting software.
7. Strong knowledge of MS Office (Excel and Word).
