Description
To expand our Data Engineering and Analytics (DEA) team, we are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Data Engineer. The ideal candidate will specialise in Microsoft analytics technologies, particularly Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse Analytics, Power BI, and related tools. This individual will play a key role in designing, implementing, and optimising our data infrastructure and analytics solutions to support business intelligence and decision-making.
Minimum requirements needed for the position
1. Minimum 5+ years of experience in data engineering or related roles.
2. Extensive experience with Microsoft analytics technologies, including Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse Analytics, Power BI, and Azure Data Factory.
3. Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and semantic model design.
4. Able to design and implement scalable and robust data pipelines and architectures using Microsoft Fabric and related tools.
5. Proficiency in SQL and T-SQL for querying and data manipulation.
6. Experience with Python or other scripting languages for data workflows.

1. Implement best practices for data quality, security, and compliance within the Microsoft ecosystem.
2. Work closely with business analysts and data engineers to deliver high-quality, business-driven analytics solutions.
3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data solutions align with organisational goals.
4. Stay up to date with advancements in Microsoft analytics technologies and recommend improvements to existing systems.
