Reservations & Events Manager
Full Time Position
Oliver Dunne Restaurants operates the following venues: Bon Appetit - Malahide, Cleaver East and The Rose Room at The Clarence Hotel, Beef & Lobster in Dublin and Galway, Ribeye Steakhouse - Malahide, Pink Restaurant - South William St, The Morehampton Pub - Donnybrook, Social Bar & Restaurant - Drogheda and Toro Tapas Bar - Malahide. We are currently hiring a Reservations & Events Manager in our Head Office at Malahide, Co.Dublin
Roles & Responsibilities:
Manage the day-to-day operations in the reservation's office in conjunction with the reservations team to ensure all duties are carried out in an effective and efficient manner
Organisation and planning of corporate events and group reservations
Hold site inspections with prospective clients
Maintain and create long lasting relationships with Destination Management Companies
* Ensure all telephone / e-mail traffic is monitored and reservations are appropriately recorded and responded to
* Create function sheets for events and liaise with General Managers/Head Chefs in each venue
* Liase with the Accounts Department
Work in conjunction with the Marketing Department
Handle all the administration for weddings and events and to participate in client meetings, assisting couples with their planning and handling all email and phone correspondence.
The ideal candidate:
Previous experience as a Reservation or Events Manager
Previous experience with Online Reservations Systems
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Ability to work as part of a team and motivate the reservations staff.
Excellent delegation and prioritisation skills
Fluent in the English language
Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Must have the ability to multi task
Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excell
