Abbott Ireland Diabetes Care Division Donegal
The Abbott Diabetes Care division based in Donegal Town manufactures FreeStyle blood glucose test strips and FreeStyle Sensors for use in diabetes management. Among Abbott Diabetes Care leading brands are the FreeStyle Precision, FreeStyle Lite and FreeStyle Libre system.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide real time data analysis support to manufacturing in terms of process adjustments, material performance, investigations, programming and yield analysis.
* Ability to independently data mine multiple large, complex datasets to answer specific research / investigation questions. Curiosity to dig deeper and access other documentation sources to understand the data.
* The ability to strategically interpret statistical findings into a business significant context.
* Provide consulting on data analysis and statistical tools in support of trend analysis, root cause analysis, failure investigation, risk assessment, data management and data visualization to junior team members and engineers.
* Support technical investigations performed within the manufacturing unit
* Assist with the introduction of analytical test methods & development trials (analysis of variance, setting acceptance criteria & capability analysis) and support efforts to reduce measurement variability
* Work with scientists and engineers to introduce new machines, materials and processes, inputting into the design of experiments and analysis of resultant data
* Develop and lead projects focused on enhancing statistical methodologies. This includes providing input to the site data strategy and ensure delivery of the strategy
* Highly effective in presenting and communicating statistical results to various levels of personnel is required regularly.
Education & Experience
* Bachelor's Degree or higher in a quantitative field (i.e. Mathematics, Data Science, Statistics, Applied Statistics, Biostatistics etc.) preferred.
* Minimum of 3 - 5 years experience in a similar role.
* Proficient in a programming language such as python, R, SAS, JMP or similar.
* An understanding of probability, statistical process control, hypothesis testing, non-parametric statistics, time series analysis, linear and logistic regression etc.
