The Opportunity
At Glanbia Business Services, we have a requirement for an experienced SAP Procure-to-Pay (MM/Ariba) Systems Analyst to join the team. This is a permanent role and will report to the GBS Ariba Solution Owner.
Glanbia have a single Global Instance of SAP S/4HANA, and an experienced in-house team of SAP systems analysts based in a number of offices globally. These analysts deal with ongoing P2P projects for implementation of SAP & Ariba into new acquisitions, as well as process improvement and re-design projects, change requests across our existing user-base, support of the eProcurement toolset and activation of new functionality.
Our SAP Ariba solution elements include:
1. Strategic eSourcing RFPs and Contract authoring and management for all Suppliers and material types,
2. Purchase to Order (P2O) PO and Invoice automation for direct and indirect (i.e. non-stocked) materials and services, including order confirmation processing direct from Suppliers
3. Catalogue management for non-stock items and services,
4. Supplier Information and Performance Management (SIPM New / SLP Lite),
5. Supplier enablement via Ariba Network for invoice automation,
6. Standard SAP Ariba Cloud integration Gateway integration between SAP Ariba and core SAP ERP transaction system.
Key deliverables of the role – working as part of the existing SAP / Ariba P2P team
7. Design, blueprint, develop(build), test and deliver enhancements based on requirements from specific projects, mini-projects and change requests in the SAP MM / Purchasing area and the Ariba procurement tool.
8. Liaising with business functions and internal customers to document and agree blueprints during the project definition phase, configuring the change, planning and executing testing and post go-live hyper-care.
9. Translating and changing business processes into the business team’s procurement technology solutions.
10. Provide techno-functional specs for the programming and PI teams as appropriate, and partnering with them on enhancement realisation – via unit testing etc.
11. Troubleshooting, validation checking, support and maintenance of our Procurement systems and CIG interfaces between SAP MM and Ariba & management of monthly Ariba software releases.
12. Solution and deliver assigned support incident work and enhancement work relating to the SAP MM & Ariba platform including modelling of business requirements via the Ariba business rules, and assessment and implementation of relevant additional functionality and associated integration.
13. Provide SAP & Ariba expert knowledge in the functional areas of MM, to respond to business needs, and contribute pro-actively to continuous improvement in Glanbia Procurement toolset.
14. Technical mentoring and development of graduates and new joiners to the team where required.
15. Participate in an MM and Ariba analyst role on multiple (and sometimes concurrent) implementation and continuous improvement projects for all phases of delivery, including performing detailed testing
16. Provide SAP & Ariba expert knowledge in the functional areas of MM, Ariba buying and Ariba Catalogues to respond to business needs, and contribute pro-actively to continuous improvement in our Procurement toolset.
The skills you will bring to the team
17. Minimum of bachelor’s degree in IT, Finance, Supply Chain, Business or related discipline.
18. Ideally SAP Certified in MM module and/or Ariba for SAP HANA or ECC 6.0.
19. Prior experience gained in hands-on configuration, development and/or support roles within SAP MM & Ariba – downstream (buying, invoicing) and upstream (contracts, sourcing and SLP).
20. Techno/functional SAP MM and ideally Ariba or equivalent post go live troubleshooting experience
21. Experience of configuring and implementing SAP Ariba – ideally including CIG (cloud integration gateway) integration with SAP MM.
22. S/4HANA experience is ideal but equivalent ECC 6 MM/ LIV experience is acceptable.
23. CIG support and CIG mapping creation experience would be a key advantage (Ariba API knowledge useful but not a major requirement)
