Morgan McKinley is working with a market-leading finance company who is looking to hire a new Payments & Settlements Manager. This is a great opportunity to join a rapidly growing invoice-financing company.
This role is ideal for an ambitious and driven professional who has:
* Knowledge of Payments - SEPA, Swift, FX (Foreign Exchange), Safeguarding
* Ability to drive improvements, processes, changes in providers, Strong Excel skills
Role Responsibilities
* Lead and manage a growing team of Settlements associates for a growing global company
* Payment management for outbound payments to clients & company funders
* Payment management for inbound payments for clients & company funders
* Weekly/monthly reconciliations required internally by third parties
* Manage the interaction with third-party payment providers
* Creation and management of SLAs with payment providers
* Regular transaction and delinquency reporting to senior management
* Identification and delivery of Key Performance Indicators (liaising with IT and third parties) to support and manage the processing of payments
* Ensuring all funds are properly managed by compliant third parties and safeguarded in established banking institutions
* Ensure all processes are fully documented and knowledge shared in the team and across the organization as appropriate
* Ensure team members receive full training and performance management
* Grow and build the team through additional hires over time
* Ensure AML procedures and training are in place and adhered to
* Identify and implement process improvements including identification and implementation of new technology solutions (either developed in-house or using third-party solutions)
* Operate as part of the Operations management team and contribute to the delivery of the overall company vision
* Help design the treasury process to ensure a balance of funds to meet client needs
* Minimize transaction costs on all payment transfers
* Help design the process for funding planning to support drawdown requirements
* Handle general customer, team, business development, and payment provider queries
* Create and manage the Business Continuity Plan for the team
Education
* Degree in relevant discipline - e.g. Accountancy, Financial Services, Business Studies
* Experience in financial services, trade finance, or payment processing environment
* Previous experience working in a similar professional services environment
* Experience managing a small team of associates
* Experience in a fast-moving Fintech is desirable but not essential
* Understanding and knowledge of AML, Safeguarding, SWIFT, SEPA, or other 'payment rails' an advantage but not essential
* Well-developed analytical and numerical skills
* Solid working knowledge of standard software packages, including Microsoft Office
* Advanced Excel skills essential
* Excellent organizational and communication skills with a strong customer focus
* Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
* Ability to prioritize and work with deadlines
* Demonstrated ability to foster collaborative and effective working relationships that promote cooperative goal achievement and contribute to an atmosphere of trust and mutual respect
* Demonstrated ability to anticipate, analyze, and resolve problems in an independent and/or collaborative manner, and recommend innovative solutions
* Ability to identify, recommend and implement process improvements
