Job Title: Key Member of Management Team
A key member of and contributor to the Management team with overall responsibility for the performance of Volvo Parts supply and sales, growing our customer base, managing and strengthening customer relationships and identifying and implementing strategies in customer service to grow Irish Commercials turnover and profitability.
Key Responsibilities & Duties:
* Continually review & analyse the Parts business, implementing agreed strategic plans.
* Continually improve customer service levels being delivered by the Parts team.
* Oversee the management of stock (daily & emergency orders, new and warranty parts returns).
* Set targets and deliver strategic plans for the Sales team, monitoring individual and team performance and opportunities for growth.
* Monitor, analyse and report weekly/monthly on department performance.
* Compile parts tender submissions.
* Management of key accounts.
* Business development, including travelling to customers and prospect premises.
* Manage departmental/product promotions & participate in Company events.
* Manage supplier relationships and service levels.
* Prepare annual budgets, managing departmental revenue & costs in line with company budgets.
* Collaboration with and support of the workshop team.
* Manage performance and work standards of the Parts team, administering corrective action and support as required.
* Comply with and enforce Company Policies and procedures.
* Complete regular Probation Review meetings for new employees and participate in the on-going employee appraisal process.
* Manage day to day HR related processes (e.g. holiday approvals, absences etc.).
* Maintain high standards of housekeeping, maintaining a safe working environment.
* Identify training & development requirements for members of the Parts & Testing team.
* Participate in training and development programmes as required by the Company.
