Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
* Site Supervision: Oversee and coordinate renovation activities across six different house renovation sites, ensuring projects are completed on time, within scope, and according to quality standards.
* Quality Assurance: Implement and monitor quality control measures to ensure all construction work meets the company's standards and complies with relevant regulations and codes.
* Team Management: Lead, mentor, and manage on-site construction teams, subcontractors, and labourers. Ensure that all personnel are following project plans, safety guidelines, and quality expectations.
* Inspections: Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, check for defects or deviations from approved plans, and identify any potential issues early to mitigate risks.
* Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records using photographic evidence of daily activities, site conditions, quality assurance reports, and any issues that arise. Report findings to the General Manager and suggest improvements where necessary.
* Coordination: Work closely with all project stakeholders to ensure alignment on project goals and quality standards. Facilitate communication between site teams and management.
* Health and Safety Compliance: Enforce safety policies and procedures on all sites. Ensure all workers are adhering to safety regulations to prevent accidents and injuries.
* Resource Management: Ensure proper use and care of materials, tools, and equipment. Coordinate deliveries and ensure the timely availability of required resources.
* Problem Solving: Address any issues or problems that arise on the job site promptly and efficiently. Provide solutions to maintain project timelines and quality standards.
* Customer Interaction: Occasionally interact with homeowners or clients to provide updates on project progress and address any concerns or questions.
Experience And Skills:
* Experience: Minimum of 3-4 years of experience in a foreman or supervisory role preferably within residential construction.
* Education: Secondary school diploma or equivalent; additional training or certification in construction management or a related field is preferred.
* Desirable:
o Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and best practices.
o Excellent leadership and team management skills.
o Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
o Attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
o Problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure.
* Certifications:
o Valid safe Pass qualification or equivalent
o Valid manual handling certificate
