Health Care Assistant - UPMC Whitfield

Overview of role:
We are currently recruiting a Health Care Assistant at UPMC Whitfield Hospital. This is a permanent, full-time position.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Have the ability to perform Patient Observations.
2. Maintain infection control policies & procedures.
3. Maintain stocks of linen, treatment room requirements, solutions and office stationery as requested by the Ward Manager or Deputy.
4. Maintain the cleanliness and sterility of bedside equipment.
5. Prepare the bed and patient environment for the post-operative patient.
6. Escort patients to other departments.
7. Candidates will be rostered over a seven day period, including night duty. Monday-Friday shifts also available.
Qualifications & Experience:
1. Completed a relevant Care Skills course to a minimum of a FETAC Leave 5 or equivalent.
2. Previous relevant work experience within a Hospital or Nursing Home setting is essential.
3. Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
