Sanderson are partnering with an online gaming industry leader to recruit for a Group Payments Senior Strategy Manager within the Group COO function.
Role Overview
This role involves building a clear, multi-year payments strategy and medium-term focus areas to support our growth ambitions and meet user needs across various markets.
Key Responsibilities
* Strategy Development: Develop and maintain our long-term payments strategy, clearly delineating group objectives and local team responsibilities.
* Relationship Building: Develop strong relationships with the payments community and divisional leadership teams to ensure buy-in for a multi-year payments strategy.
* Align Local Plans: Align local plans with longer-term ambitions.
* Balancing Needs: Enable and accelerate divisional payment needs while balancing longer-term group opportunities.
* Cost Efficiency: Drive the benefits of current payment providers and identify third parties that can enhance cost efficiency in the short and long term.
* Growth Opportunities: Balance cost efficiency and customer experience to create long-term growth opportunities.
* Global Landscape Assessment: Assess the global payments landscape, considering present-day and future developments, and understand their impact on the group and local brands/divisions.
* Strategic Evaluations: Conduct evaluations to determine preferred strategic options and solutions for the team's strategy, design, and operating model for payments.
* Workshop Facilitation: Design and facilitate workshops with senior stakeholders, collate and assess data to determine future requirements and strategic choices, and develop consolidated outputs to guide informed decision-making.
* Business Case Development: Support the development of business cases to gain strategy approval.
* Strategic Partner: Act as a trusted, objective strategic partner for making recommendations on critical decisions.
* High-Quality Outputs: Produce high-quality, executive committee-ready outputs, proposals, and status updates.
* Team Support: Support the Director, Global Payments Strategy, in achieving overall and team goals.
Experience & Skills Required
* PAYMENTS INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE: Experience operating within the payments industry, including knowledge of key market, operational, and commercial norms and dynamics.
* GLOBAL EXPERIENCE: Experience working in global geographies.
* STRATEGIC DEVELOPMENT: Experience in developing group-level strategies and achieving organizational buy-in.
* COMMERCIAL ACUMEN: Strong commercial acumen in a payments environment, including navigating operational data and third-party commercial arrangements.
* INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE: Ideally, experience within the online gaming industry.
* DESIGN AND DEVELOPMENT: Experience in strategy design, operating model design, and organizational development.
