The team is seeking an Engineering Support Technician to work for a 1-year contract with applications engineers to run and maintain various testbeds in the Catalyst building related to automotive products. The person will be working as part of a project team comprised of members from disciplines such as marketing, validation, and systems and application engineering to bring a product concept to a released mass production solution.
This is a hands-on position that requires a strong ability to work with various measuring equipment. The ideal candidate will have a general knowledge of PCB manufacturing testing and debugging. Additional familiarity with PCB schematic entry and layout along with the PCB manufacturing process would be advantageous.
Role and Responsibilities:
* Engineering Support to assist in setup for PCB testing and pack testing.
* Setup and testing of use cases for customers.
* Running conducted test beds for software revisions.
* Logistic support for the applications engineering team.
Relevant Skills:
* Strong teamwork, interpersonal, and communication skills are essential, coupled with a demonstrated ability to work at a high level of performance both independently and in large multi-discipline development teams spanning multiple time zones.
* General working knowledge of PCB debugging.
* Hand soldering knowledge.
* Strong organizational skills and the ability to work to aggressive schedules.
* Experience working with bench evaluation equipment, meters, oscilloscopes, and analyzers.
* Experience with PCB schematic entry, layout, and manufacturing processes would be advantageous.
