We have a vacancy for a Senior ITS Electrical Technician to join our team in Dublin. As the Senior ITS Electrical Technician, you will install and maintain ITS equipment.
Some Key Responsibilities
1. Day to day management and commissioning of small projects
2. Competently liaise with both customers & supervisors
3. Contract administration example: timesheets and job numbers, stock requisitions, vehicle mileage forms
4. Through knowledge of company Health & Safety policies, procedures, and methodologies.
5. Maintain company vehicles, equipment, tools, and PPE in a serviceable condition
6. Guidance, training, sharing of job-specific knowledge and experience, and provide support to all colleagues as required
7. Complete routine electrical testing and inspections on ITS equipment
8. Responding to faults and emergencies within contractual timescales (KPI’s) and undertake activities as assigned by and in support of the contract supervisor
9. Ensure accuracy of fault data recorded on Fault Management System
10. Ensure new project work installations are of a high standard and safe working practices are followed whilst working on site
11. Commissioning of equipment, Site Acceptance Tests (SAT) and responsibility for handover to client
12. Provide technical support to customers
13. Competently liaise with both customer & supervisor to discuss problems, issues, programme etc.
14. Problem solving and technical advice to customers
15. Attend ad hoc meetings with customers
16. To be aware of individual contract requirements & ensure that any project paperwork is accurate and returned in a timely manner
What we are looking for
In order to fulfil the role successfully the following are some of the key skills and experience required:
1. Department of Education Leaving Certificate
2. FETAC Level 5 in Electrical Craft Certificate
3. Experience in a similar role or within the traffic industry
4. Understanding of traffic signal site installation and basic theory
5. Knowledge of SCATS and TR2500 equipment
6. Ability to work on own
7. Ability to work at heights
8. Ability to work as part of a team
9. Ability to work on a standby/callout rota
10. Knowledge of fault management processes
11. Organised

16. Full ‘B’ driving licence

26. CSCS Signing, Lighting & Guarding at Roadworks
