Job Title: Quantity Surveyor
The Role of a Quantity Surveyor is to assist the Commercial Director in managing all commercial aspects of a construction project. This includes preparing monthly cost and revenue reports, reviewing completed works with revenue and reconciling in reports, and finalizing them for approval.
The role also involves procurement and tender package management. This includes compiling information and distributing tender packages to subcontractors, reviewing and comparing returned tenders, preparing orders and managing contract renewal dates, regularly reviewing and updating subcontractor packages and rates, conducting cost analysis on current and future packages, identifying cost-saving opportunities and implementing efficiencies.
Tendering and Contract Management:
* Liaise with Business Development Team and Commercial Team to identify and compile packages for specialist subcontractors or suppliers.
* Review and compare Tender Submissions from subcontractors or suppliers.
Information Management and Invoicing:
* Maintain and update records for works completion, sign off, and invoicing.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare monthly Cost Value Reconciliations (CVRs).
* Manage tender packages.
* Oversee small works.
* Handle procurement tasks.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
* Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
* Knowledge of COINS software beneficial.
