Job Description
Associate Director - Environmental Engineering: Join our team to lead civil and environmental design teams, identify business opportunities and mentor senior and junior staff. You will be responsible for preparing technical reports, tender documents and managing design work while ensuring compliance with quality assurance and health and safety legislation.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead civil and environmental design teams to deliver projects on time, within budget and to the required quality standards.
* Identify and pursue business development opportunities to grow the company's portfolio.
* Mentor and supervise senior and junior staff to develop their skills and experience.
* Prepare technical reports and tender documents to support project bids.
* Plan and manage design work in collaboration with project owners, ensuring timely delivery and quality outcomes.
* Ensure compliance with quality assurance and management systems, as well as relevant health and safety legislation.
* Coordinate work with other team members to achieve project goals.
* Manage client relationships and project communications to maintain a positive reputation and build trust.
Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in Civil and/or Environmental Engineering or related field.
* Chartered Engineer status.
* Minimum 15+ years post-graduate experience in design and project management.
* Ongoing oral hearing experience is desirable.
* Multi-disciplinary design management experience.
* Ability to engage with clients, external stakeholders and sub-consultants.
* Experience in business development and creating budgets.
* Candidate should possess excellent communication, organisation and analytical skills.
* Flexible and a good team player who can work efficiently on own initiative.
* Able to travel for site visits and client meetings.
* Full Drivers Licence.
