Job Title: Assistant Manager
The ideal candidate will possess excellent knowledge of food, cocktails and drinks and be passionate about hospitality. This position requires at least 1 year's experience within a restaurant or bar environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage the daily operations of Kaboodle.
* Plan and ensure Kaboodle is ready for the day's business, preparing for the morning meeting and sharing information with the team.
* Ensure customer satisfaction throughout Kaboodle and maintaining quality control standards for products and services offered to customers.
* Manage guest flow and seating arrangements ensuring a seamless guest journey.
* Ensure the control of costs and productivity.
* Keep the team up to date and ensure they meet all service and operational standards.
* Handle cash and card payments accurately, along with taking accountability for floats, change orders and all end of day procedures.
* Develop sales plan in line with the annual budget, maximising sales through up-selling, using incentives and promotions.
* Promptly resolve customer complaints and keep a close eye on customer feedback through Trip Advisor and other sites, taking on board feedback and making recommendations for changes.
* Complete a weekly rota ensuring this is cost effective and the right people are in the right places.
* Lead and develop an energetic workforce, with involvement in recruitment, learning and development, team engagement initiatives and all other people management responsibilities.
* Empower the team to handle all guest feedback, positive and negative.
* Maintain Company and legal standards for cleanliness within all food and beverage areas.
Requirements:
* Manager in a similar role with 1 year's experience
* Background in a busy establishment preferred, so you will understand how we work and settle in quickly
* Excellent customer service skills, standards-driven, good organisational skills
* Ability to make decisions in a fast-paced environment and enjoy it
* Great at up-selling, anticipating customer needs as well as improving the bottom line
* Ability to manage the team and resources available to ensure that the departments are equipped for service via cost controls, stock monitoring and good rota management
* Ability to communicate to and motivate your team, providing day-to-day leadership and direction
* Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
