The Opportunity
This role is based at our Donegal site within the Abbott Diabetes Care division, where we are dedicated to helping people with diabetes manage their health through innovative products that provide precise data for better decision-making. We are transforming glucose monitoring with our new sensing technology.
You will work in a dynamic environment focused on continuous improvement and innovation, alongside team members who share a vision of enhancing the lives of millions globally. In this role, you will collaborate across QEx, Digital, and PMO to ensure project prioritization, DCF ROI, and expense/capital cashflows are executed according to rLBE/Plan. You will manage capital projects within Quality to ensure ROI, resource allocation, and monthly financial tracking. Additionally, you will support headcount and resource planning for the Quality team, manage process improvement projects using Lean Six Sigma tools, and partner with cross-functional business leaders and key stakeholders to identify opportunities that reduce compliance risk, provide early signals to minimize business impact, drive global standardization, and improve efficiencies by eliminating non-value-added activities.
Responsibilities Include
* Capital Portfolio Management: Work with functional leads to ensure adherence to timelines and capital/project expense cashflow. Measure DCF ROI for significant projects and align resources accordingly.
* Continuous Improvement: Identify and execute continuous improvement projects using Lean Six Sigma tools. Partner with cross-functional business leaders and key stakeholders to identify opportunities to reduce risk and generate GMI.
* Project Prioritization and Resource Management: Collaborate across PMO, QEx projects, and Digital to prioritize projects and manage DCF ROI. Oversee project resource forecasting and cost ownership.
* Stakeholder Collaboration: Work with stakeholders, including senior management across the quality organization, on OEM, Plan, and rLBE cycles. Provide monthly analytics and support for functional leaders on their spend, headcount, capital, and project expenses.
* Facilitation: Facilitate workshops and kaizen events for complex initiatives and projects.
* Metrics and KPIs: Identify and, if necessary, design value stream and project metrics and key performance indicators (qualitative and quantitative) to measure improvement success.
* Project Planning and Monitoring: Design, communicate, and implement project plans. Monitor progress and performance against the project plan.
